Keep Media beside the project. Use Save project as to create your team's
working folder, with Copy all media into project directory enabled.

PROJECT SETTINGS
48,000 Hz enabled; new recordings WAV, 24-bit PCM; media path Media.
Time timebase; 30 fps; Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames ruler.
Robot video: 1920 x 1080, 30 fps, 11.2 seconds.
Video starts at 00:00:10:00 and ends at 00:00:21:06.
Its item is locked and its track's master send is disabled.

COUNT-IN
Start playback from the PLAY FROM HERE marker at 6 seconds.
Beeps occur at 7, 8, and 9 seconds. Enter on the silent fourth beat at 10.
This is a practice entrance, not a completed cue for an identified action.
The one three-second audio item contains all three beeps. Its right edge
marks the silent fourth beat. Put each empty cue item's left edge at its
exact sync frame and extend its right edge through the action or decay.
For each recording pass, snap the beep item's right edge to the active
cue item's left edge. Keep the beep item's length and playback rate
unchanged. Start playback at least one second before
the first beep. Use one active count-in at a time.
One-second spacing is our classroom convention, not a universal standard.

TRACKS
VIDEO - LOCKED / AUDIO OFF: picture reference only.
CUE BEEPS - MUTE BEFORE MIX: plays through master for headphone practice.
ROBOT MOVEMENT, SURFACE CONTACT, PROPS, CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT: category
folders. Rename and duplicate the CUES tracks inside them for specific
body parts, surfaces, materials, objects, and actions. Put empty cue items
on these specific tracks, never on the folder tracks.

RECORDING
No tracks are armed. Select your audio device and the microphone's mono
hardware input at the recording station. The starter uses input 1 as a
placeholder on the four recording tracks; verify the physical connection.
Use headphones and switch off speakers. On a separate studio cue output,
route beeps there and disable their master send. Do not use loopback input.
Before recording, duplicate each CUES track directly below it, change the
duplicate's suffix to REC, and keep both inside the category folder. Keep
CUES tracks unarmed and arm only the REC track. Test for beep spill. Use
Record mode: normal, with Repeat and the musical metronome off. Record the
lead-in, slate, performance, and tail. Do not confuse playback start with
the sync point.
Typical levels around -18 to -12 dBFS, with peaks below -6 dBFS.

EDIT / DELIVERY
Save a new version before choosing takes. Mute CUE BEEPS before mixing
or rendering. Keep original video audio off. Trim slates and unwanted
noise, sync the performances, and balance the layers. The picture range
is 10.0 to 21.2 seconds. Submit the whole project folder zipped, including
all recorded audio and video. Assignment 2 is due October 5, 2026.

The beep WAV is an original 48 kHz / 24-bit mono file: three short 1 kHz
tones, one second apart, with peaks at -18 dBFS and short click-free ramps.
No extensions, scripts, or third-party plug-ins are required.
